Smart Signal Art Wyndham - 15 Public Artwork Opportunities
Are you a Melbourne artist? Do you live in or have a connection to the Wyndham City Council area? Would you like to brighten up the streets in Werribee or Hoppers Crossing by painting an original artwork on a street cabinet? Like to submit a design proposal?
Successful artists will be provided with equipment and be paid $400 for each artwork.
Artists must submit their proposed designs by 5pm on Tuesday 18 April 2017.
Successful artists will be notified on Friday 05 May 2017.
If successful, you will be painting your approved artwork on site from Monday 8 May 2017 to Friday 30 June 2017.
Please download the Expression of Interest (EOI) document - by clicking the website link to the right. Smart Signal Art is an anti-graffiti initiative of Wyndham City Council managed by Urban Smart Projects.
A little more info: Fifteen (15) sites being painted. Designs must be proposed for all visible sides of cabinets. Cabinet locations are listed in the EOI. We recommend visiting the cabinet site for design inspiration. Artists must submit their designs using the A3 template within the EOI. Design proposals must be in full colour and include a title and a description. You may choose to submit designs for multiple locations or a single design for one specific location. You can work in a group of up to four people on this project. If you are under 18 years of age you can submit a design and then paint with a parent, teacher or guardian who agrees to supervise.
