Somewhere between museum and gallery, The Good Room is dedicated to the communication of ideas, social commentary and history through the perspective of the individual. This is a place for the communication of ideas presented as works across media and in text, photography, film, live music theatrical performance and spoken word.
The Good Room is inviting Academic researchers, community and social historians, visual anthropologists, amateur and professional photo-documenters, radio/audio documentary makers and film-makers, bloggers, cartoonists, printmakers, students, authors, illustrators, family historians, not for profit organisations, collecting groups, zine-makers, bloggers, crafters, photographic clubs, historical societies, and poets are invited to submit expressions of interest.
Anyone engaged in the use of oral history, works engaged in a local and/or historical element and personal experience to exhibit in 2018.
We offer accessible rates, curatorial support if required, open events and late night openings, support for programing to further enhance discussion around your exhibition.
