Public Art Project – Hurstbridge Line (Level Crossings Removal Program)

Melbourne’s railway network is a well-used public transport asset that is being transformed by the State Government’s Level Crossing Removal Project. We are inviting Expressions of Interest from practising artists for public artwork proposals at sites on the Hurstbridge Line. This is an opportunity to be part of a significant infrastructure project for Victoria with the new public art projects enhancing and contributing to place and local identity.

We are looking for new artworks to be outstanding examples of contemporary art responding to a curatorial process focused on engagement with the community.

The projects are suitable for emerging, mid-career and established artists across a broad spectrum of artistic practices.

The closing date for expressions of interest is 5pm, 30 September 2017.

Visit www.levelcrossings.vic.gov.au/rail-projects/hurstbridge-rail-line-upgrade for more information on the public art project and application process.
