Established in 1961, the St Kevin’s Art Show is one of the longest running award exhibitions in the country. Throughout its proud 48 year history, the St Kevin’s Art Show has continued to evolve, and in 2017 a new vision was implemented which sees a clearer focus on painting, photography and work on paper by contemporary and emerging practitioners. Artists from all Australian states and territories are invited to enter. ENTRIES CLOSE ON March 23.
A non-acquisitive major prize of $10,000 is awarded to the best overall work with $3,500 (the Brother McCarthy Memorial Award) granted for the best work on paper.
The winners are selected by our highly credentialed judges and our 2018 judge is contemporary artist, Louisa Bufardeci. Louisa has had more than 20 solo exhibitions and is represented by Anna Schwartz Gallery in Melbourne.
Awards announced at our official opening reception on May 25 where all exhibited artworks are available for sale to the public. 75% of sales proceeds are returned to artists.
Artists are invited to submit up to 3 artworks to be assessed for inclusion (the entry fee is just $15 for three works - $5 per artwork). Further details can be found on our website www.stkevinsartshow.com.au
