Borrowed Wall Art Prize

Artists aged 18 to 30 are invited to submit a design proposal to Borrowed Wall Art Prize.

The winner will receive $10,000 and a giant space to fill with their work. The design should reflect young people living in the Liverpool LGA and relate to the contemporary library experience.

The library is no longer just a place of books, it is an immersive vibrant cultural space where the diversity of the community is celebrated. The artist will develop a design to install in the Youth Space as well as deliver 2 workshops to local young people. Liverpool City Library’s Youth Space is an area for young people to meet, socialise, game, study and seek refuge. The design will cover the entirety of the Youth Space’s external window (45.5 square metres) and internal and external framing walls (56.7 square metres).

Applications close March 2.
