The Shirley Hannan National Portrait Award, one of Australia’s richest prizes for portraiture, is now calling for entries.
The $50,000 non-acquisitive award has been running since 2002.
Administered biennially by the Bega Valley Regional Gallery, entries close at midnight on Friday 14 September, with finalists to be announced by Friday 28 September.
Previous winners include, Shaun Gladwell, Mathew Lynn, Robert Hannaford and Sally Robinson.
2018 selection panelists and guest judge will be announced shortly.
