Exhibition of Interest – City of Sydney, Customs House – exhibition curator

We are requesting expressions of interest from curators to develop and deliver an exhibition on behalf of the City of Sydney, to be presented at Customs House from April to September 2018.

Curatorial objectives

Customs House programming is informed by 3 key insights. Customs House is:

  • A gateway to the city: A public space that rests at the heart of our city.
  • A living history: a place of both historical context and contemporary culture.
  • A place of belonging: a public building in its truest form – open to everyone.

With the 3 Customs House insights and the green, global and connected strategies of Sustainable Sydney 2030 in mind, curators are invited to submit a proposal for an exhibition that investigates the idea of 'Journeys: exploring our unique customs and cultures, and what we learn from each other'.
