Public art opportunity for artists

The City of Wagga Wagga is looking for artists for 3 new visual arts commissions in the Wagga Wagga Local Governement Area.

  • Sister City Walkway, Baylis Street, Wagga Wagga

  • Ladysmith Amenity Block, Ladysmith

  • Wilks Park Amenity Block, North Wagga Wagga

As part of the commission the successful artists will be required to produce an original artwork and lead a skills development workshop. The artist will also be required to work with the community in relation to the development of themes to be explored. Please see the brief for further details regarding locations and indicative themes.

Please note that experience with working and supervising youth is an essential criterion of the project for the Ladysmith location as this workshop will be held at Ladysmith Public School and the successful artist must supply a Working with Children Check.

All workshops and artworks must be completed by 30 June 2017.

Budget: $7 000 per commission
