Lane Cove Council is calling for expressions of interest from Sydney artists interested in the new Street Libraries project.
This project encourages the community to donate, swap and borrow books from mini wooden houses located within community parks and streets.
Council is seeking original, colourful and appropriate designs for our first two Libraries in the community. The successful proposal will engage with a literary theme and/or convey a sense of the local area.
The final designs need to be of a high standard in both concept and execution, while recognising public safety concerns and durability. The commissioned artist will be paid a total payment of $750 (GST inc.) for completion of the two Street Libraries.
Applications must be received by Monday 15 January 2018 – visit www.lanecove.nsw.gov.au/lovewhereyoulive for the detailed brief and specifications.
