Our libraries are places of ideas, inspiration and inclusion. They are community lounge rooms, places for discussion and contemplation.
Our small exhibition spaces complement this role, providing an opportunity for artists and creative community groups to exhibit their work in an accessible local space with high volume visitation.
The Creative Spaces initiative offers a visual arts opportunity that supports and extends the cultural role of our libraries in the life of the community.
The Creative Spaces initiative supports visual arts development and community arts in Monash. You’ll also find information about current exhibitions at Monash Gallery of Art, the Monash Arts Network program and Monash’s calendar of annual festivals and events, which provide more opportunities for creative expression and cultural inclusion.
Exhibitions for the Creative Spaces program are determined on an annual basis for the following 12 months. The exhibition spaces are offered free of charge.
