Glow Festival 2017 - Illuminated Installations (Expired)

The City of Stonnington is seeking expressions of interest from experienced professional and emerging installation artists for Glow Winter Arts Festival 2017.  We are seeking submissions for large-scale, site specific and temporary illuminated installations that will appeal to a wide demographic and can be displayed for up to fourteen days outdoors in winter. Working with Councils Festivals and Events Team successful applicants will be commissioned for the design, development and installation of their work. 

EOIs are invited for Glow 2017 Art Installations for an Initial Contract Term of up to 8 weeks.

Curatorial Theme: Down the Rabbit Hole
Obscure creatures and abstract worlds that evoke a child-like wonder and invite adult audiences to rediscover imagination and play. 

Site 1 - Central Park Gardens
Brief: Night Garden
We are seeking artists to create light installations to illuminate the gardens of Central Park for ten nights of Glow. We are keen to see the night garden explore the theme of Down the Rabbit Hole and provide an accessible and family friendly space to explore after-dark.

Site 2 & 3 - Location within Stonnington to be suggested by the Artist
Brief: Site specific temporary illuminated installation. The work needs to relate or respond to the curatorial theme: Down the Rabbit Hole. 

EOI documentation will only be available for inspection and downloading from Council’s e-Procurement website

 EOI submissions close 12.00 noon Monday,15 May 2017.

 Late EOIs will not be accepted.  EOIs will not be accepted by facsimile, mail or any way other than via TenderLink.
