Seeking artistic teams for a new mural in Sebastopol (Ballarat)

The City of Ballarat is seeking responses from interested teams of artists to engage young people in the Sebastopol community to create a new mural.  The mural will be located on a building owned by the Ballarat and District Aboriginal Corporation (BADAC) located in a suburban block in Beverin Street, Sebastopol.  The City of Ballarat is now seeking proposals from interested artistic teams, who will engage and collaboration with young people, to create the mural.  The City of Ballarat has been successful in receiving funding from the Department of Justice and Regulation through its Graffiti Prevention Grant Program for this project.

You will need to have skills in mural making or street art as well as running workshops with young people. The team can work with a lead artist and lead facilitator model or divide project work accordingly to their skills, however two people must be available to lead the workshops in April/May 2017. The designs would then be developed by the artist into a final design proposal.  Painting of the mural will be primarily undertaken by the artist(s); the artist(s) may elect to invite keen young people to participate.
