St Kilda Festival’s annual design competition has returned, and is calling for YOU to submit your design for their poster competition!
With a $2,000 cash prize awarded to the winning design, not only could you see your very own design promoting Australia’s largest free music festival in 2018 (a huge prize in itself!), but you’ll also be rewarded for your creativity with cash money!
400,000 attendees routinely make their way to the bayside suburb of St Kilda each year to celebrate the local music scene, culture and diversity of St Kilda and our wonderful city Melbourne. It really is a festival like no other!
The annual St Kilda Festival design competition returns, in search for the 2018 Festival image, with a $2,000 cash prize going to the winning design.
Entry is free and open to people living, working or studying in the City of Port Phillip, with all professional, amateur and student designers in the area encouraged to apply.
“This is a great opportunity to showcase local talent and help them gain exposure for their work throughout Melbourne, nationally and even internationally” said City of Port Phillip Mayor, Cr Bernadene Voss.
Hailed as Australia’s largest free music festival, the St Kilda Festival routinely attracts over 400,000 attendees. The streets of St Kilda are closed to traffic with the pick of Australia's top musicians playing over multiple stages, while people are entertained with a vast range of performances, workshops, kids’ entertainment, sports, dance, carnival rides, buskers and a whole lot more.
The winning design will capture the vibrancy, spirit and atmosphere of the Festival, with the image to be incorporated into all promotional materials in the lead up to and during the 2018 event to be held on Sunday 11 February. The competition is open to any interpretation and any style of design.
Applications close Monday 18 September 2017.
