There are 16 resident artists' studios at Gasworks Arts Park in the City of Port Phillip and now two of them are available! The Park Studio and new Showcase Studio are now open for applications from interested artists. While this is filed under 'Visual Arts' the space may also suit creative partnerships (writers, photographers etc)
The Park Studio vacancy is an exciting opportunity for artists looking to develop their practice in a community arts setting. Interaction with the users of the Park and the wider community of the City of Port Phillip is a key criteria, and preference will be given to artists who live or work in the City of Port Phillip already.
Gasworks studios are available for two year terms that can be renewed at the discretion of management subject to satisfactory performance of collaborative public access projects to benefit the community.
Part of the Key Selection Criteria will be based on the applicants’ ability to:
- contribute to park activities
- collaborate on projects with other resident artists
- conduct talks and workshops with members of the public
- present and explain work, equipment, and processes to studio visitors
- background and profile as a practicing artist
