Calling for Street Artists – Westside BMX Mural Project

The City of Stirling is commencing works on a clubroom facility at the Westside BMX Club in Balcatta. A professional artist will be engaged to develop, design and produce a mural which will cover the front elevation of the building. The overall aim of the work is to reflect the culture of the BMX Club, creating a sense of ownership and serve to increase community pride of the facility.

Running since 1979, Westside BMX Balcatta is one of Australia's largest BMX Clubs and is continually growing.  The Club encourages inclusivity in a welcoming environment and has produced many past and present champions of the sport.

The City is looking for a mural that is engaging to club users and that is responsive to the site’s surroundings and social context.
