About the Course

Strengthen your editing skills so that you can confidently enter the industry as an assistant editor with the know-how to fast track your career progression within the post-production department.

In this practice-based course, you will build upon your existing practical experience of non-linear editing systems with the targeted application of Avid Media Composer software in non-scripted editing. You will deepen your understanding of editing principles, build the skill and knowledge required to edit in this format and practice the skill of applying storytelling principles to edit unscripted, on screen events.

You will also develop and build your industry and professional knowledge including post-production processes and workflows, roles and responsibilities and compliance requirements, as well as the unique skills required when working as a freelancer or contractor.
