Life Drawing Classes at the Gallery

Burnie Regional Art Gallery

About the Course

Burnie Regional Art Gallery is offering Life Drawing Classes at the Gallery. The sessions will commence on Wednesday, 16 August and run for 5 weeks.

Burnie artist, Michael Muruste, will be tutoring these classes, which are suitable for experienced artists as well as beginners.

Project Officer, Birgitta Magnusson-Reid, said, “Life drawing improves observational skills and your overall drawing technique. Michael Muruste is a very experienced life drawing teacher, who encourages you to to work loosely and freely.”

“The key for beginners is to learn to look and draw what you see and not what you know about the human body. And for the experienced artists, life drawing is like a fitness class! It keeps an artist’s visual and spatial abilities in shape”.

Places are limited so do not delay in booking your spot. All materials are supplied by the gallery, so it is just a matter of rocking up, clear the mind of any clutter and put pen and charcoal to paper. To book, call the gallery on 6430 5875.”

When: Weekly on Wednesdays from 16 August until 13 September, 2017

Time: 6pm - 8.30pm

Cost: $90 / Members of Friends of the Gallery: $75
