Led by engraver Peter Nilsson you will learn how to create pictures on glass. Suitable for those interested in calligraphy and sketching.
- Learn the basics of engraving by making pictures and text with lines created with a dentist’s drill.
- Examine the old technique of “intaglio” (negative reliefs) that creates a semi three-dimensional expression.
Two pieces of float glass are provided for practicing and two tumblers to create personal designs. Alternatively, bring in your own transparent glass to work on (must be more than 3mm thick).
No glassworking experience is required. Minimum of two students required to run class.
