Sensation and sizzle – the summer blockbuster

Sydney unveils details of its summer art blockbusters - one calling to the lover of classics, the other to a tech generation.

Summer would not be summer without a blockbuster exhibition rolling into town – those big, high-budget, popularist exhibitions usually coming from some famous offshore gallery while it renovates. This year’s selection for Sydney however takes a different course, arguably more thoughtful of its audiences and extending them through challenging art works, rather than just driving “clicks through a door”.
