City of Melbourne venue Arts House has today announced the appointment of Emily Sexton as its new Artistic Director.
Sexton is a cross-disciplinary curator from Melbourne, and a Sidney Myer Creative Fellow (2014-15). She has held multiple significant creative roles in the city, including Artistic Director of Next Wave (2010-14), Creative Producer of Melbourne Fringe (2008-10), and most recently Head of Programming for the Wheeler Centre for Books, Writing and Ideas (2014-17). In 2018 she is a participant in the Australia Council’s Arts Leaders Program.
