The Hatched: National Graduate Show for 2013 opened at the Perth Institute for Contemporary Arts (PICA) last week, with Shan Turner-Carroll winning the $35,000 Doctor Harold Schenberg Art Prize.


Hatched
is PICA’s annual award show for graduates of art schools and returns in 2013 for its 22nd year. This year’s exhibition features 37 graduates from 20 art schools who were selected from a pool of 90 by the judging panel: MCA Curator Glenn Barkley; independent curator Isabel Ching; artist and OK Gallery Director Andrew Varano; PICA Curator Leigh Robb and PICA Special Projects Curator Tim Carter.
