We have witnessed a change of late in the use of domain names with, for example, Melbourne Festival dropping the .org.au and adopting the trendier URL, festival.melbourne instead.
But there is even a bigger move away from geographic identifiers with the recent .art domain, the web address now used by the London’s Institute of Contemporary Art. Previously located at ica.org.uk you can now find it at ica.art.
