ACMI is touting stardust as it releases ticket figures for the Melbourne Winter Masterpieces blockbuster exhibition, David Bowie Is.

But while attendances just under 200,000 sound impressive, a comparison with other blockbusters suggest it’s more a case of The Man Who Fell to Earth than The Man Who Sold the World.
