When Alexie Glass-Kantor was interviewing for her now position as Director of Artspace (Sydney) she presented to the panel an image of the gallery burning to the ground.  

‘It wasn’t that I wanted to destroy what the organisation had presented but I was really thinking about how it is that you rejuvenate a space, an organisation. Bushfires in Australia create life, they’re an important part of being sustainable, of rejuvenating the landscape,’ Glass-Kantor confessed to ArtsHub.
