From 1 July 2015, the administration fee for royalties collected by the Copyright Agency under the Resale Royalty Scheme will increase from 10% to 15%, the first increase in the Scheme’s five year history.

The fee rise is the result of increasing costs to run the scheme, and the Copyright Agency has told ArtsHub that the service fee is consistent with other resale schemes internationally, which generally sit between 15-20%. At 10%, the Australian scheme was sitting low.
