Winners 2015 Archibald, Wynne and Sulman Prizes

From notoriety to celebrity - past Sulman Winner takes the 2015 Archibald Prize with a portrait of his barrister, while two younger artists surprise punters taking the Wynne and Sulman Prizes.

Nigel Milsom has been announced as the winner of the 2015 Archibald Prize for ​his painting titled Judo house pt 6 (the white bird), his portrait of barrister Charles Waterstreet.

Milsom was a favourite tipped for the win leading into the prize, one of 47 finalists selected by the Trustees of the Art Gallery of NSW from the 832 entrants for the Archibald. Milsom lives and works in Newcastle. He won the 2013 Doug Moran National Portrait Prize and the 2012 Sulman Prize. This is his third inclusion as an Archibald Finalist.
