With an eye to lead the world – QAGOMA’s new vision

Amping up a focus on the collection, a revised APT and defining blockbusters, Chris Saines announced his vision this week.

Chris Saines has a history with both the Queensland Art Gallery and high stakes vision and philanthropy. He returns to QAGOMA as Director after 17 years at Auckland Art Gallery, where he ushered the gallery through a $121 million building project and secured a $115 million gift by US collectors Julian and Josie Robertson.
