NGA acquires immersive Kusama installation

The people-pleasing dot installations of Japanese artists Yayoi Yusama are sure to drive crowds to Canberra, thanks to a major new acquisition.

The National Gallery of Australia has announced the acquisition of Yayoi Kusama’s infinity room, The Spirits of the Pumpkins Descended into the Heavens (2015), most recently viewed in Australia at the Kusama survey exhibition at the Gallery of Modern Art in Brisbane.
