In a month when most of the majors have rolled out announcements for their summer blockbusters, the Art Gallery of South Australia (AGSA) this week released a film about the female Redback spider and arguably the greatest sculptor in art history.

The two-time Archibald Prize-winner, painter Del Kathryn Barton has directed her first short film that is sure to startle and ensnare more than the arachnophobiac, while an exhibition exclusive to AGSA will revolutionise the way we think about Auguste Rodin’s work and its impact on modern and contemporary art.
