Speaker Series: The Edible City with Indira Naidoo

Join journalist and best-selling author Indira Naidoo, author of The Edible Balcony (2011) and The Edible City (2015) for an evening soiree to inspire inner-city guerrilla gardening.

Indira is one of Australia’s most popular broadcasters having hosted and reported for ABC’s Late Edition and SBS TV’s World News Tonight. In recent years she has followed a passionate interest in the role global environmental issues play in conflict, poverty and food security.

Share Indira’s adventures of growing fruit and vegetables on her inner-city balcony and preparing them into delicious recipes. Hear stories about some of Australia’s most innovative and memorable kitchen gardens and get some practical information about how to build your own community garden.

All tickets include canapes created from unique Australian bush foods by First Food Co., a cash bar and music by Brisbane artists.
