Australian Muslim Artists 2021 Exhibition

Australian Muslim Artists is the annual exhibition presented and curated by the Islamic Museum of Australia showcasing Muslim Artists. The exhibition offers an opportunity for both up-and-coming and established artists to present their work in a professional gallery setting.

Australian Muslim Artist Art Prize – La Trobe University Acquisitive Award

We are excited to continue the inaugural Australian Muslim Artist Art Prize, thanks to the support of prize sponsor La Trobe University.  The Australian Muslim Artist Art Prize recipient will be awarded $10,000 cash and the prize also includes acquisition of the winning piece by La Trobe University.

Australian Muslim Artist 2021 People’s Choice Art Prize (non-acquisitive)

A People’s Choice Art Prize will be awarded at the conclusion of the AMA2021 exhibition, following voting by Museum visitors during the AMA2021 exhibition period. This is a non-acquisitive, $500 cash prize.

Shortlisting: Thursday 1 July – Wednesday 14 July 2021

Exhibition selection notification: By close of business, Friday 16 July 2021

Delivery period for shortlisted works: Saturday 17 July – Saturday 31 July 2021, 10am – 4pm

Opening night and AMA Arts Prize recipient announcement: Thursday 19 August 2021, 6 – 8pm

AMA exhibition: Thursday 19 August – Friday 19 November 2021

People’s Choice Prize announcement: Monday 22 November 2021

Artists to collect works: Thursday 24 – Tuesday 30 November 2021, 10am – 4pm (by appointment)
