Calling all LGBTQIA+ identifying artists and makers

A QUEER TAKEOVER OF BRUNSWICK STREET GALLERY

As part of our upcoming Midsumma Festival exhibition program, Brunswick Street Gallery is now seeking submissions from emerging and mid-career LGBTQIA+ artists to take part in our accompanying group exhibition, Out. Spread throughout the two levels of our gallery, Out will showcase a variety of artists, each with their own unique creative voice, brought together to represent the diverse experiences of our LGBTQIA+ community. No theme is off-limits in this all-inclusive event. All mediums and installation works accepted. 

EXHIBITOR INFORMATION

Exhibition dates: 29 January – 11 February 2019

Opening night: Friday 31 January, 6-9pm

Exhibition fees

Only proposals which are selected will be liable for a fee.

Cost: $40 per artwork.

Large works may incur an additional fee. Get in touch with the gallery to discuss your proposal..

Brunswick Street Gallery will accept proposals from LGBTQIA+ identifying artists working in all mediums. 3D and sculptural works encouraged.

Please note: Curation of works is at the gallery’s discretion. If you have any specific requirements for the display of your work please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

Applications should consist of high resolution images of the artworks to be submitted along with a brief artist statement. Works still being made can have example images of similar works.

WIP images accepted.
