Partnering with Swinburne University of Technology and AAMI, Village Cinemas is calling out for entries for all emerging filmmakers to produce a short film inspired by this year’s theme; ‘Choices
Films will be shortlisted through online voting at unscenefilms.com.au before they are showcased in a professional gala setting which will see the winner receive a cash prize of $10,000 and Blackmagic filming equipment, one of the world’s leading innovators and manufacturers of creative video technology.
Prizes for second and third place will also include $2,000 and $1,000 respectively, alongside additional Blackmagic technology and the opportunity for the short film to play in select Village Cinemas foyers.
Village Cinemas are seeking short films up to five minutes in length that are original, creative and compelling. Any aspiring filmmaker, amateur or student can apply as long as they are over the age of 18.
Entries open on Monday 2 July, and will close of Wednesday 17 October, 2018, in preparation for the awards and gala event at Village Cinemas Rivoli on December 6, 2018.
