Jacaranda Acquisitive Drawing Award
Grafton Regional Gallery is pleased to announce that entries are now open for the 2020 JADA to artists residing in Australia aged over 16 years. Artists are invited to enter up to two drawings with a Gallery appointed panel to shortlist a selection of finalists for exhibition from 2 October to 22 November 2020.
The winner of the acquisitive prize of $35,000 sponsored by the Friends of Grafton Gallery will be announced at the official opening on Friday 2 October 2020.
This biennial drawing prize seeks to encourage and promote innovation and excellence in Australian drawing practice.
The deadline for entries has been extended to 19 July 2020.

It is the responsibility of artists’ to ensure that artworks meet 2020 JADA terms and entry conditions
The selection of finalists is based on the images supplied. To ensure that each drawing is able to be seen at its best please provide high resolution images of between 2 - 5 megabytes at 300dpi for the selection panel to view. It may be worth considering having drawings professionally photographed to acheive this.
What is the definition of a JADA drawing?
A drawing is primarily driven by mark-making using various mediums. The Gallery is open to receiving submissions that include both traditional and/or contemporary approaches to achieve this.
