Maitland City Council is seeking submissions from artists, creatives and makers for a new Place Activation project in Drill Hall Lane (north), Maitland.
Drill Hall Lane (north) in Central Maitland runs from High Street to the Riverside Walk along Maitland’s Hunter River. This laneway is a direct and easy walk to access the river but it is generally underutilised by the public who may not recognise the connection. Drill Hall Lane (north) has the potential to become a significant local laneway once activated through a unique and visually appealing project/s.
Expressions of Interest (EOI) are now open for the project. Submissions will be open until midnight 4 September 2019.
Over the next 12 months Maitland City Council will be seeking expressions of interest from artists and makers on a range of creative opportunities. There is currently an online booklet available with a range of creative project opportunities in Maitland.
Please visit www.maitland.nsw.gov.au/play-explore/arts-and-culture/place-activation to download and view the booklet.
