PICA Studio Program Callout (Expired)

Expressions of interest are now open for PICA’s self-directed studio program. Studio spaces in PICA’s building in the Perth Cultural Centre are available for 8-12 week residencies in 2020.

PICA’s studios provide a flexible space for research, dialogue, experimentation and the development of new works and projects. The spaces are suited for interdisciplinary artists who have an interest in an independently driven structure for research and development.

The selected artists will receive an artist fee of $800 and will be supported by PICA’s exhibitions team with general technical support and critical feedback across the duration of the residency.

We welcome proposals from individuals or artistic collaborations that push the boundaries of their genre, are conceptually, formally or technologically ambitious and which contribute to current cultural or art form developments.

We consider all proposals in the context of our endeavor to provide a rich, varied and high quality program.

Duration: 8 – 12 Weeks
Availability: Feb – April 2020 or Aug – Dec 2020

Access: 9:15 am – 5:00 pm 7 days
Artist Fee: Artists will receive an artist fee of $800

Artist obligations: Participation in a public open studio event that allows each studio artist the opportunity to speak to our audiences about their project.

Please register your expression of interest using the online form here.
