Applications are open to contemporary artists, designers, and practitioners to create an artwork or installation for the Whyte Hills Lookout site.
The artwork is commissioned under the Western Wilds project inviting visitors to a journey of discovery through the powerful wilderness stories of western Tasmania and will be located at a touring stop that provides stunning views over the takayna/Tarkine.
A Story of Water has been written by Meg Bignell and Jillian Mundy for this project and artists are invited to reference or interpret the story in some way.
The type of artwork or installation is flexible and should deepen the visitor experience of the site and wider area.
This commission is open to Tasmanian artists only.
