We are looking for artists and practioners from a range of creative fields who are currently active in their art practice and who would like to participate in one of the experiments we will be running. Participation is contingent upon providing written consent as stipulated by the Australian Code for Responsible Conduct of Research.
In return for your participation which should involve between 1hr and 1.5hrs of your time where you will be required to come into the Business Behavioural Lab at RMIT at the predetermined date and time you will be compensated on the day with a cash payment of $40 at the conclusion of the experiment. Furthermore, on the basis of the answers you provide to incentivised scenarios additional payment on top of the base payment can be earned which will range between $25 up to $50 which can be paid by bank transfer once the data collected is analysed. As such the total payment particpants in the experiment can expect to earn is between $65 to a maximum of $90.
Experts from RMIT will be conducting workshops applying cutting edge research to investigate what drives artists and how this relates to aspects of personality. We will immerse you in a series of engaging and relevant decision making tasks using the latest scientific techniques in a private and confidential laboratory environment. These tasks will measure your motivations, problem solving, thinking style and personality to better understand the way you make decisions.
