The Mandurah Arts Festival is an annual celebration of the unique assets that make Mandurah a cultural destination and residence – our people, place and stories. We aspire to deliver a festival that connects people through shared experience and encourages our community to express pride in who they are and where they are from. Bringing together a host of local, national and international artists, the program acts as an ode to the community, sharing stories that reflect the life and vibrancy of the city.
The Mandurah Arts Festival is currently scheduled for 29 Oct – 7 Nov 2021 (subject to ongoing health advice regarding COVID-19 issued by the State Government).
The City is currently seeking Expressions of Interest from suitably qualified individuals and/or organisations to provide a high-quality, unique, relevant and accessible mass-participation community arts project as part of the Mandurah Arts Festival 2021. All temporary art forms will be considered, including (but not limited to) theatre, dance, ephemeral art, projections, music and visual arts. However, permanent installations (ie. murals) are not within the current scope and will not be considered
The proposed community arts project must:
• Demonstrate clear relevance to Mandurah, by highlighting aspects of the local people, place and stories
• Be inclusive and accessible, and representative of the diverse cultural community
• Engage a wide range of community members to participate in the development and/or delivery of the project
• Have a major outcome at the Mandurah Arts Festival
For full information regarding the opportunity contact Jessica Wright, Arts Development Officer, on firstname.lastname@example.org or (08) 9550 3883.
Expressions of Interest close: Wednesday, 12 May 2021, 2:00pm (AWST)
