Creating for Well-being

Footscray Community Arts Centre

About the Course

After sold-out School Holiday Program sessions and rave reviews from kids and parents, artist and teacher Zoe Keystone is back by popular demand!

After a long year where we have felt many emotions and overcome many challenges, it’s time to get mindful and creative as we learn how to express ourselves. Zoe Keystone leads a series of powerful lessons on respecting our feelings by creating art. These inclusive lessons are tailored to each age group and delivered to small class sizes so that each child gets time to interact and learn with the teacher. Materials will be supplies easily found around the house OR you also have the option of purchasing a special take home craft kit so your child can learn, play and create all from the comfort and safety of your own home. Each child will create stunning and unique pieces of art—we guarantee you will be astounded by what your young artist can create with Ms Keystone’s guidance.

Central to Zoe’s teaching practice, is enabling a sense of fulfilment and pride in each child. Being a highly experienced and qualified art teacher, Zoe is able to make each lesson achievable and fun for her students.

Above all this class teaches mindfulness practices through art and guides kids on how to identify and process different emotions through artistic expression.

Creating for wellbeing classes will take place every monday from 26 October – 16 November:
6-9 year olds: 4pm–5pm
9-12 year olds: 5.15pm–6.15pm
