Although many may recognise him as the man with the purple pants and slick dance moves in Museum Victoria’s Museum Dance-Off video, Manager of Melbourne Museum’s Bunjilaka Aboriginal Cultural Centre John Patten is better acknowledged for his commitment to education, pride in Koorie culture and generosity. Many a visitor and staff member has benefited from his lessons, both formal and informal, about Aboriginal culture.

In the latest edition of our Inspire60 series, Patten tells us how being surrounded by his ancestors and the stories of every Koorie person in Victoria inspires his work at Bunjilaka Aboriginal Cultural Centre.
