Famous artists designing album covers is not a new thing, but here are a few you may not know about.

Warhol’s iconic cover that defined the art of sleeves.

The cover of a vinyl album undoubtedly helps its sales. It is not surprising then that musicians over the years have called upon the art world’s famous to find a creative meeting.

Did the match work? When we think of the debut album of The Velvet Underground And Nico (1967) we think of Andy Warhol’s peeled banana rather than the music (which was a sticker that could actually be peeled).
