Director of the Art Gallery of South Australia (AGSA) Nick Mitzevich has been described as having a Midas touch. Since joining the gallery in 2010, he has increased audiences by 86% and last financial year alone he nurtured private giving to the institution to the tune of $11.5 million. He’s also just signed a deal with mining and resources giant BHP Billiton for $17.5 million to deliver the next TARNANTI Indigenous arts festival, and is currently in conversations to build a new $260 Million gallery.
