Galleries flip the solar switch

Galleries are under pressure to use sustainable energy but the long term savings and environmental benefits come at a cost.

Sustainable green energy is more than changing the light globe and galleries are talking a holistic approach to better futures.

Art Galleries and Museums have a high-energy footprint. For conservation reasons, many artworks require 24-hour climate control and specialised lighting – and that does not come cheap. But as public institutions, museums also have a responsibility to their communities and stakeholders to operate on more sustainable principles.
