Acknowledging past trauma through healing art practices

When curator Rachel Ciesla was offered Bundoora Homestead Art Centre as a potential location for her exhibition, Healing Practices, she began researching the site’s history, which was initially a significant ceremonial and camping ground for the Wurundjeri-willam people. Since then it’s been turned into a family home, convalescent farm and a psychiatric repatriation facility.
