So you want my arts job: Prop Maker

Film prop maker, Hannah Crosby busts some of the myths about making artwork for the silver screen.

Interdisciplinary artist Hannah Crosby first began her career as a 3D artist for video games, then learnt the art of prop making and transitioned into a new career where she now making moulds, paints and sculpts props.

She’s worked on feature films including: Thor: Ragnarok, Aquaman, Dora: The Lost City, Kong vs Godzilla and Monster Problems, as well as smaller independent films. Most recently Crosby was prop master for the Australian film Two Heads Creek. She gives us a reality check on what the job actually entails and why it’s important to do your research before considering a career in the industry.
