Powerhouse Museum to go west

Powerhouse Museum decides to move where Sydney's greater audience base is, selling its $200 million site to developers.

Arts Minister Troy Grant with NSW Premier Mike Baird announced Thursday that the Powerhouse Museum will moved to Parramatta, and that their current site it flagged to be sold to developers.

Currently sited on the fringe of Sydney’s Darling Harbour and along what Sydney has proudly quoined its “cultural ribbon”, the decision came as a surprise to many.
