Smaller galleries are at breaking point

Australia’s small to medium galleries are doing more with less. Despite declining government funding, the number of artists supported by S2M organisations increased by 23% between 2012 and 2016. Visitors to exhibitions and events increased at a similar rate to more than six million visitors in 2016.
