Naked axeman takes the Tasmanian Portraiture Prize

Cameron McRae’s portrait of world-famous wood chopper David Foster entitled ‘David Foster enters the Burnie Betta Milk Wearable Paper Art Prize’, has taken out the RACT Insurance Tasmanian Portraiture Prize.

Renowned Australian portrait artist and multi-finalist for the Archibald prize, Robert Hannaford, said: ‘Cameron is a deserving winner and should be very proud his piece caught the attention of the judges in a difficult judging process.’
