Art Basel pays a visit to Australia, but why?

In December Adeline Ooi was appointed as Director of Asia, Art Basel, taking over the post from Magnus Renfru, who after six years returned to his former role at Bonhams. Ooi has long been a strong name in the Asian art world; an accomplished curator, academic, writer and gallerist – not to mention fluent in six Asian languages – she is well placed as a kind of regional broker.
